Valley Acres Who DatUPHA Chapter 14 Spring Premiere was a great opening season show! Everyone dusted off their show clothes and put all their winter work to good use at the slightly chilly, but competitive first show of the season in Springfield, Massachusetts. As usual, UPHA Chapter 14 put on a well run and fun show for all exhibitors, and ABS enjoyed several important victory passes there. Victoria Ricci and her PINECREEK IMMORTAL VISION (Pinecreek's Noble Vision x Pinecreek's Liberation) earned two strong ribbons in their first appearance together as an Amateur Hunter Pleasure team. Victoria then piloted her favorite go-to guy, SARDE'S STILL SMOKIN (Winterset Thyme N Agin x Stonecroft Bewitched) to top honors as the Sarde's Still Smokin and Victoria RicciOpportunity RoadHack Championand the winner in the Opportunity Road Hack qualifier. Cheryl Ricci ventured into the Classic Pleasure Driving division for the first time with her multiple world Champion FOX HOLLOW TALK ABOUT ME GCH (Whispering Whammunition x Cyderbay Chantilly), earning goo ribbons in both her Ladies qualifier as well as the open championship.

Joanna and Tom Meyers of Snug Harbor Morgans in S. Kingston, RI, celebrated the first victory pass of their exciting three year old gelding, VALLEY ACRES WHO DAT (Rowenda Boogie On Down x Lotus Elise JWM), recently selected for them by Anne Benson, who enjoyed the driving honors as this talented youngster won the UPHA Morgan Pleasure Driving Classic. Joanna also enjoyed two solid rides on her seasoned partner, MASTER CLASS (The Master's Touch x NBN At Your Command), which included a Reserve in Classic Pleasure Saddle Junior/Novice Horse. This team continues to get better and we can't wait to watch their progress this season. We would also like to extend a very special thank you to Will Vidler for his assistance at this show. He is always smiling and his good humor in every situation is infectious.

Welcome Lupé DeLoya A very warm welcome to our new Assistant, Lupé DeLoya, a very capable and much needed extra hand at ABS. He brings with him his beautiful family, and we are looking forward to a great season with his extra attention to detail. Also very special thanks to Pancho DeLoya for going above and beyond these last few months as we made this adjustment. It's truly a team effort at ABS and it's a great feeling to have a complete team once again.

We welcome Who Dat and Pinecreek Noble Vision to ABS! Anne Benson congratulates Victoria Ricci on her selection of Reserve World Champion PINECREEK IMMORTAL VISION (Pinecreek's Noble Vision x Pinecreek's Liberation) as her partner for the amateur, ladies and youth hunter pleasure division. Also giving into the shopping bug was Joanna and Tom Meyers of Snug Harbor Morgans in S. Kingston, RI, who selected VALLEY ACRES WHO DAT (Rowenda Boogie On Down x Lotus Elise JWM, by Illegal Motion), an exciting 3 year old prospect.

CONGRATULATIONS ARE IN ORDER: Anne Benson congratulates Leslie Hurst of Descanso, CA on her selection of the talented young Inimitabledaughter of Minion Millennium, INIMITABLE. Leslie has an eye for a great one and we think she made a perfect choice! Also shopping at ABS for her next champion was Diane Lents of Twisted RoseRanch in Kerrville, TX, who couldn't resist the beautiful western gelding SARDE'S SCOUNDREL (Winterset Thyme 'n Agin x Tara's Sable), formerly owned by Sarde Morgans. Tom Tornatore represented the buyers in both sales.
